Research

Rebecca’s research focuses on hypoxic tumor cells and how they promote metastasis and immune evasion in the primary tumor. She is currently working to understand how hypoxia-mediated interferon suppression and memory can impact tumor-immune interactions, potentially promoting immune evasion, and how to potentially reverse it for therapeutic applications.

B.S. in biology with minors in business administration and public health – Elon University

Outside of the lab, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, and traveling.
