Research
Catie’s research focuses on the metastasis of breast cancer to bone, and how the bone environment regulates the progression of breast cancer in this very common metastatic site. She is currently working to understand how specific bone-derived factors play a role in the gene expression and metabolism of bone-resident breast cancer and how this can contribute to breast cancer cell survival, proliferation, and metastatic fitness.
