Research
Tamasa focuses on unrevealing the metastatic vulnerabilities of cancer cells driving breast cancer progression. Metastasis—the spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body—poses a formidable challenge in cancer management due to its complex nature. The dormant nature of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) makes it challenging for early detection. While recent advancements in technologies enable us to capture CTCs, our understanding of the biological properties governing their survival in circulation and metastatic potential remains limited. Therefore, we aim to identify the metastatic vulnerabilities exhibited by CTCs and subsequently develop novel therapeutic targets to impede breast cancer progression.
